Transparency Is Key to Ethical AI Use

One participant shared a story about a real estate AI assistant that closed a deal—without the customer realizing they were speaking to a bot. That opened the door to a much bigger conversation about ethics.

If your team is using AI for anything customer-facing, you need to:

  • Tell users when they’re interacting with AI
  • Be clear about how data is used
  • Let customers opt in (or out)

Even when the tech works, people problems can stall automation projects. Whether it’s lack of buy-in, internal politics, or cultural resistance—success depends on aligning teams around a shared vision.
