If you’ve used Salesforce CPQ, you might know about twin fielding—a way to link fields with the same name across different parts of the system. While this was useful, Revenue Cloud removes the need for twin fields by using attributes, which make things easier and more automatic.
In CPQ, twin fields needed custom fields with matching names and data types to move data from quotes to orders. Now, Revenue Cloud does this automatically with attributes.

With attributes, there’s no need to manually connect fields—the system moves information through the whole process, from quote to order to asset creation.
When setting up a quote, users can define product attributes like:
