Does Agentforce Forecast Sales? Part 3 - Updating Quotas With Your Agent

Most sales leaders know how tricky it can be to manage and adjust quotas during the year. Sometimes targets are too high or too low. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could change those numbers quickly—without jumping through hoops?

Why Quota Changes Matter

You might want to adjust a rep’s goal if they’re outperforming expectations—or struggling with an unrealistic number. But doing this manually through traditional Salesforce tools can be slow and frustrating.

That’s where Agentforce comes in. It can handle the heavy lifting by working with flows you set up in Salesforce. Once connected, it listens for your instructions, updates quotas, and gives feedback—all inside the system you already use.

Here’s How It Works

  1. Build a Flow: First, you create a Salesforce Flow called something like “Agentforce – Update Quota.” It takes two simple things: the person’s ID and the new quota number.
  2. Add That Flow to Agentforce: You teach Agentforce how to use the flow. When a user says something like “Update Ben’s quota to 200,000,” Agentforce pulls in the person’s ID and the new number.
  3. Trigger the Change: The flow runs in the background, updates the record, and responds with a message to confirm the change.

A Real Example

Ben showed this in action. He started with a quota of 20,000. Then, using Agentforce, he updated it to 1 million. The quota changed instantly.
