How to Update the Product Configurator Flow after a New Revenue Cloud Update

Salesforce updates add new features, but sometimes they don’t work in custom product configurators. If your configurator is missing Compact Mode or saved setups, you may need to update it.

Here’s how.

Why Some Features Don’t Work

If you changed the Product Configurator Screen Flow, Salesforce updates may not apply. New features work on fresh templates but might not show up in your custom setup.

Two Ways to Fix It

You can update your configurator in two ways:

1. Use the New Version (Easiest Way)

  • Open Flows in Salesforce.
  • Find the default Product Configurator Flow.
  • Create a new version of the template.
  • Add your custom changes again.

This works if you don’t mind setting things up again.

2. Update Your Current Flow (Best for Custom Setups)

If you have a detailed setup, starting over isn’t a good option. Instead:

  • Open your old Product Configurator Flow.
  • Compare it with the new Salesforce template.
  • Find missing parts, like Favorite Configuration Data.
  • Copy missing data into your flow.
  • Save and activate the new version.

Test Your Updates

Once updated, test your quote setup to make sure: 

✔ Compact Mode works. 

✔ Saved configurations load correctly. 

✔ Custom screens still show up.
